PI Rowe and PI Dutta’s group win Best Paper, Best Demo and Runner-Up Awards at IPSN

CONIX teams did extremely well at this year’s ACM/IEEE International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN 18).

The CMU team won best paper for their work on LP-WAN:

Charm: Exploiting Geographical Diversity Through Coherent Combining in Low-Power Wide-Area Networks. Adwait Dongare, Revathy Narayanan, Akshay Gadre, Anh Luong, Artur Balanuta, Swarun Kumar, Bob Iannucci, Anthony Rowe

The Berkeley team won the runner up award for their work on ultra low-power localization:

Slocalization: Sub-muW, Static, Decimeter-Accurate Localization with Ultra Wideband Backscatter. Pat Pannuto, Benjamin Kempke, Prabal Dutta

Both teams won and got runner up for demos related to Augmented Reality and the Sign Post Project.
